Updated 11 March 2025
Date of assessment: 10 March to 1 April 2025. Oak House is operated by Autism Together. It is registered for providing supported living. The service predominantly supports people living with autism or with a learning disability. At the time of the assessment there were 28 people using this service. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee autistic people and people with a learning disability the choices, dignity, independence and good access to local communities most people take for granted. Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture is the statutory guidance which supports CQC to make assessments and judgements about services providing support to people with a learning disability and/or autistic people. The provider was able to demonstrate how they were meeting the underpinning principles of 'Right support, right care, right culture'. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible. Staff treated people with kindness, dignity and respect. There was a clear emphasis on providing opportunities to people and maximising their quality of life in line with their preferences. As a result, we did not identify any concerns about the support people received. Breaches identified at our last inspection in respect of safe care and governance had been met.
